Publishing and unpublishing
Publishing controls whether your site is visible to the public. You can switch it on and off whenever you like — your content is always kept safe either way.
01What publishing does
Publishing puts the current version of your site online at its public address. It saves a snapshot, so visitors always see a complete, finished version — never your in-progress edits.
02Updating a published site
Edits you make after publishing stay private until you publish again. When you're ready, re-publish to replace the live version with your latest changes.
03Unpublishing
Unpublishing takes your site offline and returns it to a private draft. The public address stops working until you publish again, but nothing is deleted — your pages and content stay exactly as they were.
Unpublishing is reversible and safe — use it whenever you want to take a site down temporarily, then publish again to bring it right back.
