Your privacy, respected.

How we collect, use, and protect your information — in plain language, without the fine-print fog.

01Overview

Plixa ("Plixa", "we", "us") helps you build, publish, and manage websites with the help of AI. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our marketing site, your dashboard, the editor, and the sites you publish through us.

By using Plixa, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

02Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use Plixa, and a limited amount collected automatically:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Content you create — the prompts, text, images, and designs you add to your sites, including drafts and published pages.
  • Billing information — your plan, transaction history, and the details needed to process payments (card numbers are handled by our payment processors, not stored by us).
  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location, browser, and device type, collected through our own first-party analytics.
  • Communications — messages you send us through contact forms or support.

03How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service — including generating, hosting, and publishing your sites.
  • Process payments, manage your plan, and send billing notices.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Respond to your questions and provide support.
  • Understand how Plixa is used so we can improve performance and features.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

04AI processing

When you use our AI features, the prompts and related content you submit are sent to trusted third-party AI providers to generate the requested output. We send only what is needed to fulfil your request, and we do not sell your content. These providers process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it to train their models without authorization.

05Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We also run our own privacy-friendly, first-party analytics to measure aggregate traffic — we do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working if you do.

06How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers — hosting and CDN, payment processors, AI providers, and image-search providers that help us operate Plixa, under contracts that limit their use of the data.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Plixa, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.
  • With your direction — content on the sites you choose to publish is, by design, made public.

07Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

08Data security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and private storage for uploaded media. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information from your profile settings.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Export a copy of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

You can exercise many of these directly from your account settings, or by contacting us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10International data transfers

Plixa operates globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers are located. Wherever data is transferred, we apply appropriate safeguards to protect it consistent with this policy.

11Children's privacy

Plixa is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Plixa after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
