Uploading images

Plixa keeps your images in the cloud so you can reuse them anywhere on your site. Upload your own, or pull in free stock photos without leaving the editor.

01Open the Media panel

Open the Media panel from the side toolbar. It holds every image you've uploaded for this site, with a search box to find one quickly.

02Upload your images

Drop image files onto the upload area, or click it to browse. You can add several at once. Each file can be up to 5 MB, and your images are stored securely in the cloud rather than embedded in the page — which keeps your site fast.

03Add an image to your page

Select an image element, or a section that has an image, then set its source in the settings panel. You can choose one of your uploads, or search free stock photos from Pexels right inside the editor.

04Add alt text

Each image has an Alt text field in its settings. Add a short description of the image — it's read aloud by screen readers and helps your SEO.

05Replace or remove an image

To swap an image, select it and pick a different source. To tidy your library, hover an image in the Media panel and delete it.

Use high-quality images, but keep their file size reasonable — very large photos slow your page down. Plixa serves your uploads through a fast global cache.
