Creating your first site
Plixa turns a short description of your business into a complete, ready-to-edit website. You can start from scratch with AI or pick a template — either way, you'll have a live site in minutes.
01Two ways to start
From your dashboard, choose New site. You can either describe your business and let AI generate the first draft, or browse the template gallery and start from a ready-made design. This guide follows the AI route — starting from a template is covered in its own guide below.
02Describe your business
The more specific your prompt, the better the result. Try to include:
- Your business name and what you do
- Your industry and who your customers are
- The tone you want — playful, formal, or minimal
- Any pages or sections you know you need
03Name your site
Give your site a name. It identifies your site in the dashboard and forms your sitename.plixa.io address — you can rename it later in Settings.
04Review your AI draft
Plixa builds your pages and shows you a preview. Look it over — you'll refine everything in the next step, so it doesn't need to be perfect yet.
05Make it yours in the editor
Open the editor to customize. Add, remove, and reorder sections; edit text inline; swap images; and adjust fonts, colors, and layout. Your changes save automatically as you work.
06Publish when you're ready
Click Publish in the top bar to take your site live at your sitename.plixa.io address. You can connect a custom domain any time from Publishing & Domains.
You don't have to finish everything before publishing — many people publish a first version and keep editing. Re-publishing updates your live site instantly.
